NEW CONTRACTS

Hospital Marketing Services, Inc.
(MS00347)

Hospital Marketing Services, Co., Inc. (HMS) is pleased to have been awarded a three-year contract effective February, 1, 2005, with MedAssets Supply Chain Systems to supply its members with disposable hot/cold therapy products.

HMS has been providing the medical industry with these products for the past thirty five years at a substantial savings up to 60 percent, and are most anxious to afford MedAssets members the chance to participate in this opportunity to use a quality product at an excellent price. HMS supplies two cold packs and two warm packs. The sizes are 6 x 9 large and 5 x 7 small with a soft cover that enables you to have a product that will perform on its own without the need to wrap the pack with a face cloth or any other kind of wrap.

HMS perineal products have an extra absorbent sanitary pad that absorbs the fluids from the patient and also gives some comfort, as well as the therapeutic help in the area where the episiotomy occurs. All of these products will give therapeutic help for approximately 20 to 25 minutes.

The Hospital Marketing products have several areas where the products are most utilized. The cold packs are used primarily in emergency and trauma areas where cold therapy is needed. The warm packs have been used in OB-GYN for lower back pain for mothers after delivery and any other region where warm packs have been traditionally used. A major use is with the phlebotomists for raising veins. The perineal packs are self explanatory. Also an area where there is a great deal of interest is plastic surgery. After surgery around the eye lids, the pads being light and soft, the patient can lay the cold pad over the affected region drawing comfort.

HMS hopes these suggestions help you to get some ideas, and to recognize the many areas that cold and warm therapy products have benefits. All of these aids have been on the market for many years, and HMS is confident that when you begin to use them you will be extremely satisfied. HMS would be happy to supply members with a modest amount of samples for evaluation by calling customer service at (203) 723-1466 or e-mail HMS at info@hmsmedical.com.
